Ibarra
Hi! My name is Javier Ibarra, I'm a 19-year-old mechatronics engineering student at Mondragon University. While my main priority right now is getting my degree, my biggest hobby in my free time is coding and designing brands and interfaces. You can catch me studying for exams just as easily as building complete web platforms, designing a magazine, or getting my hands dirty fixing things and designing 3D printed parts.
I'm incredibly curious: I love exploring technology, learning on my own, and figuring out exactly how and why things work—whether it's a server, a physical gadget, or a blank canvas. I didn't learn to design and code by reading boring manuals, but through the constant need to experiment, problem-solve, and build things, always keeping the web as my main playground.
In my projects, I like having control over the whole process. I really enjoy building visual identities from scratch —thinking about typography, logos, and the core of ideas ranging from local restaurants to the centenary of a football or basketball team— and bringing that whole idea to the web. To do this, I use my own stack of tools, making sure that every interface doesn't just look amazing, but runs fast and smooth. For me, looking good always has to go hand in hand with clean code, even if it's just for the satisfaction of making something right.
But beyond the screen, I just can't sit still. That same patience and stubbornness for solving problems that I have when coding, I bring to my everyday life. If something catches my eye, I dive right in: whether it's working on my own scripts, designing things from scratch, or fixing any physical object that falls into my hands and needs a second life.
